Call of Duty: Black Ops

One of the most popular games recently released is Call of Duty: Black Ops for Xbox & PS3 gambling consoles. This game has been a large hit ever since it was out in the market on November 9, 2010. It is a first-person shooter game that was developed by Treyarch & published by Activision.

Black Ops is the seventh installment in the Call of Duty franchise but is only the third game to be developed by Treyarch. Black Ops is the first in the series on the Chilled War but is the sequel to the Call of Duty: World at War game.

It's accumulated over $1 Billion in sales in the first five weeks on release. It's broken records set by its predecessor Modern Warfare by at least five.5 million copies. Its popularity keeps on growing all over the world. In Japan, there were game releases with subtitles & dubbed versions one month after the game was released in to the market.

Call of Duty: Black Ops permits a player to assume the role of a soldier with access to various firearms (at most five can be carried at anytime), use lots of explosives including grenades, & use various weapons. The game closely resembles an adrenaline-rush battlefield & employs a kill or be killed strategy. A player may even select to kill an enemy using a knife with blow.

The player's health is indicated on the screen which will turn red to show extensive destroy. of the thrilling features of this game is that when a grenade is thrown, a marker that indicates the grenade's direction will appear which can help the player either run away or throw back the grenade as long as the player is within the radius of the grenade's blast. Aside from guns & explosives, other weapons that can be used in the game are ballistic knives, crossbows with explosive ammunition & bolts, & Dragon's Breath rounds.

The game depicts a realistic take on how individuals who go in to battle. Players can basically be controlled to jump, run & walk. A player's posture may even be controlled. For example, a player can take in a standing, crouching, or prone stance. Each stance will affect the player's speed, stealth & accuracy. A player can run for a short time but will become worn out.

A player can assume the role of various in-game characters in the work of the single-player campaign with lots of point of view changing all throughout the game. The characters that can be played belong to the Special Forces group who are conducting black operations inside enemy territory.

Call of Duty: Black Ops features lots of scripted cinematic moments including a bullet time effect in the "Victor Charlie" stage which is activated when the player shoots toward the final member of a Viet Cong squadron.

 of the best features in Black Ops is that it can be used to play multiplayer online matches with other people from around the globe. Players are divided in to teams that have different missions. In Team Deathmatch, the objective is to have more kills than the other team while in Capture the Flag, the players require to take the other team's flag & bring it in to their base. There is also the "Free For All" setting where its every man for them self, players are not divided in to teams in this setting.

Black Ops already has 14 maps & additional downloadable maps. It still retains the unlockable reward process & experience points that have been with the franchise since the fourth game. It also has a "Zombie cooperation mode" which was originally included in the World at War game.

Call of duty Black Ops is of the best games out there that will certainly keep you entertained at home. It is the best selling game for the Xbox & PS3 consoles.
