RPG & MMORPG Games 2011

As popular as the game was, casual game enthusiasts were not warmed in to the style yet. It was thought about to be "too nerdy" for the cold babies who were playing the likes of Street Fighter II or Mortal Kombat.

In the past, RPG games were nothing over a PC gamer's kind of thing. Back in the 1990s, plenty of Amiga and PC game enthusiasts loved playing the style. Arguably, of the best RPG games to come out at the time was a game called Eye of the Beholder. It may not be the most famous role playing game of all time but it's gotten a cult following over the years.

RPGs prospered from then on but have taken a back stool to recently to the FPS style. Thanks to the popularity of the Call of Duty franchise, the FPS has become the most widely known and popular gambling style in 2011. That is not to say there that the RPG style is dead in 2011 as various games have been and will be released this year.

of the genre's largest releases this year has been the PS3 version of Mass Effect three. Xbox 360 and PC game enthusiasts were blessed as the Mass Effect franchise was only exclusive to their respective platforms. That was until in January 2011 that the PS3 version of Mass Effect three hit the PS3 in a sizable way. PS3 owners were delighted to know they had the superior version of the game since it came a few more extras and better graphics. Mass Effect and RPG fans can look forward to the release ofMass Effect three later this year.

It wasn't until the release of Final Fantasy VII in 1997 that the RPG style was introduced in a sizable way and was thought about to be "cool" to a wider audience.

Japanese RPG fans ought to look forward to the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2. This is a direct sequel to the 2010's Final Fantasy XIII. Fans who were disappointed with Final Fantasy XIII will be happy to know that Square Enix is looking to improve the gameplay with this sequel. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is expected to be released late 2011.

The other major game released thus far in 2011 was Dragon Age II. Much like Mass Effect, the Dragon Age franchise is also created and developed by BioWare. PC game enthusiasts may have the best RPG games in 2011 as the long awaited Diablo three hits later this year. The much loved Torchlight made its debut on the Xbox 360 earlier this year . It was historicallyin the past a PC exclusive but now Xbox 360 owners can enjoy this action-rpg by downloading it by the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

These are a tiny fraction of games that you can enjoy in 2011. There's plenty of RPG games that are available for you to play this year. If you are bored of generic and linear FPS games, give the RPG style a try. Most nice RPG's give you over 40 hours or more of gambling fun an offer are not as linear as most FPS games. Do yourself a favor a play at least RPG game released in 2011. You won't regret it.

The beauty of 2011 is how much expertise has grown over the years. A of RPG games can now be enjoyed at no cost as web browser games. of my favorites released recently are the Tremendous Stick RPG games. They play similarly to plenty of role playing games like Final Fantasy and come complete with cutscenes and a battle technique as well.

If you are require to play old-school style of fantasy RPG games then this is the game for you. It may not be as flashy as Final Fantasy but the games still offer hours of fun.
